Wylie Luther “W.L.” Sheffield, a former Alabama Baptist pastor, died March 14. He was 75. A native of Weirsdale, Fla., Sheffield graduated from the Baptist Bible Institute in Graceville, Fla. (now The Baptist College of Florida), in 1972. He served as pastor of Chalkhead Baptist Church, Ozark, from 1973 to 1977 and Southside Baptist Church, Ozark, from 1979 to 2004.…
