On April 24th, the Geneva Baptist Association recognized Brother Dicky McAllister for his 39 years as their director of missions.
McAllister served from 1981 until 2020 providing leadership and support to the over 30 Southern Baptist Churches in Geneva Association. His leadership led in the establishment of the Geneva Churches Mission Store to provide benevolence support to the community. He led numerous mission trips and worked for several years with the migrant Vacation Bible School efforts across Geneva County.
The event hosted by the association had over 70 people in attendance. “Brother Dicky,” as he was affectionately known, was presented a plaque from the association by Danny Branch, association moderator and pastor of First Baptist Church Samson. Representing the Alabama Baptist State Board of Missions, Kristy Kennedy, an associate in the office of associational missions and church planting, presented McAllister with a certificate of appreciation.
