Judson Baptist Association pastor Kevin Lee Freeman dies at 49
Kevin Lee Freeman, pastor of Camp Springs Baptist Church, Columbia, died Feb. 27. He was 49.
A native of Dothan, Freeman graduated from Ashford High School and The Baptist College of Florida in Graceville.
He served as youth pastor of Webb Baptist Church, where he was a longtime member, then served as education director at Southside Baptist Church, Ozark.
Freeman later served as pastor of Antioch Baptist Church, Ashford, and Cowarts Baptist Church before moving to Camp Springs Baptist.
He also taught at Bethany Divinity College and Seminary in Dothan, where he earned two master’s degrees and a doctorate.
Freeman is survived by his sons, Jared and Jon Sullivan; daughters, Alyssa and Emmalee; and his fiancé, Samantha Peters. (TAB)
