I will extol the Lord at all times; His praise will always be on my lips” Psalm 34:1.
Thank you so much for your prayers in the past few weeks. I am doing so very well, better than I have in probably all of 2004. I have so much for which to praise God.
The AIDS education at Ha Foso Baptist Church has gone so well. Recently, 10 youth attended. When I finished teaching, one girl said, “You mean it’s over?” These youth are so hungry to learn the truth about HIV/AIDS and God’s plan of obedience. Please pray for them as they continue to learn and share with others.
One of the youth is a girl named Masianokeng (Alyse in English). She is a great friend and has a deep hunger to know God more. Please pray for her and me as we meet together — that God would cultivate a strong friendship between us.
Also remember Boitumelo, the little girl that had to leave the orphanage about a month ago. I heard that her uncle, who was supposed to take custody of her, was involved in the murder of a young boy. My heart is broken to think she will not be reunited with her family. Please pray with me that God will set Boitumelo and her brother in a godly family.
Remember last year when I was so sick for many weeks? I was able to get some medicine that has kept everything under control. I have been on that medicine for almost a year and have now weaned completely off of it.
Please pray for my ear. My ear keeps popping throughout the day. It’s really painful and annoying. I’ve been to the doctor, but it’s not any better. Thanks for lifting that up for me.
I am in my final six months in Lesotho. I am filled with mixed emotions (of course, I can’t wait to return to Alabama and see my family, friends, Waffle House, etc.). But it will be difficult to leave here. This place has been my home, and I love these people.
I will be leaving so much of my heart here. Please begin now praying for me — for my arrival back in the United States in September and for that transition.
