Members of the Judson College soccer team sort and fill backpacks for local students at the Sowing Seeds of Hope interfaith initiative. They also worked at the old armory in Marion that functions as a community center by sweeping, mopping, dusting and washing windows and tables and went to a local nursing home for an old-fashioned hymn sing with the residents. The team made community missions a significant part of its practice by devoting two days to outreach during the month of August. Emanuel Stephens is the team’s coach.
