Gospel impetus for mother’s sacrifice

Gospel impetus for mother’s sacrifice

Somewhere in China, a young American mother entered a bus with several small children to carry much needed spiritual materials to another location. One of her children was bordering on minor illness, and she herself was laden with luggage.

They were facing five or more hours on a crowded, smoke-filled rickety bus. She knew they would be surrounded by strangers and would be subjected to stares.

But willingly sacrificing both her needs and their needs for comfort, she and her children climbed on that bus to make a long journey so that others could hear of salvation.
