Gov. Kay Ivey appointed Alabama Baptist pastor Joshua Pendergrass as her communication director, effective April 19. Pendergrass recently left the pastorate of Bethany Church, Crane Hill. He previously served as pastor of Cedar Mount Church, Pinson, and churches in Tennessee and Kentucky. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Lambuth University in Jackson, Tennessee, and a doctorate from Thomas Goode Jones School of Law at Faulkner University in Montgomery. He and his wife, Leslie, have one child.
