Graham cancels speaking, travel plans

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. — Evangelist Billy Graham was forced to cancel a long-scheduled Palm Sunday preaching engagement at Howard University in Washington, D.C. Graham canceled the trip on his doctor’s orders, and also to be with his wife, Ruth, who recently had emergency hip-replacement surgery. At the urging of his doctors at the Mayo Clinic, Graham has canceled all speaking and travel plans to build his strength in anticipation of a June crusade in Nashville.
