Hale Association held its Woman’s Missionary Union (WMU) annual meeting Sept. 14 at Greensboro Church. The Alabama WMU Day of Prayer was observed and donations to the Kathleen Mallory Mission Offering were given to WorldSong. Paige Shaw, of Pleasant Hill, Moundville, sang and gave a testimony. Gary Swafford of the State Board of Missions spoke. The new WMU elected officers are Debbie Thomas Holley (Pleasant Hill), associational WMU director; Eloise George (Concord Church, Moundville), secretary-treasurer; JoAnn Thomas (Antioch Church, Greensboro), churchwide missions consultant; Regina Washburn (Greensboro), GA consultant; Kim Cooley (Moundville Church), Mission Friends consultant; Lynette Simmons (Pleasant Hill), missions involvement consultant; Sharon Arrington (Akron Church, Moundville), prayer consultant; Louise Wilson (New Haven Church, Greensboro), Women on Missions consultant; and Ruth Lafoy (Community Church, Moundville), Youth on Missions consultant. Bill Wallace is director of missions.
