Hamilton-area deacon honored for years of service

Fulton Bridge Baptist Church, Hamilton, in Marion Baptist Association recently honored Edd Pearce for 41 years of service as a deacon and named him deacon emeritus. To commemorate the occasion, Pastor Dan Duncan presented Pearce with a plaque.

Pearce joined Fulton Bridge Baptist in the late 1950s after marrying Rosemary, who was already a member there. The Pearces have taught adult Sunday School and actively served in other roles throughout their many years at the church.
“They’ve both been real assets here at Fulton Bridge,” Duncan said, noting Pearce is known as “the official weather man of Ham
