Subtitled “The One Hundred Twenty-five Commands of Jesus,” this volume calls on God’s people to cast off the “cheap grace” approach to the Christian faith and take Jesus’ commands seriously.
Fortunately for readers, the author takes a scholarly approach as he interprets those directives. At the same time, he is passionate in his appeal to us who follow Christ.
Hopefully, this work will be of immeasurable assistance as pastors combat popular, yet heretical, teachings relative to Christian discipleship.
At a time when the original Christian message has become muddled and difficult to understand, “Hear Him” provides a clear and compelling presentation of the way of the true knowledge of Christ. To be sure, some readers will not agree with all the author’s assertions, including his rejection of “unconditional eternal security.”
A former pastor, Wittsock has a master of divinity degree from the Assemblies of God Theological Seminary.
