On July 4, 56-year-old Robert K. Hines, pastor of Lakewood Baptist Church in Northport, died in a motorcycle accident on I-359 in Tuscaloosa.
The accident occurred when Hines’ motorcycle collided with an automobile just after 9 p.m.
In addition to his 11 years at Lakewood Baptist Church, Hines served as pastor of churches in Prattville, Russellville and Union Springs as well as in Indiana and Tennessee.
He is survived by his wife, Clarice Hines of Northport, three children, two grandchildren and a brother.
