Midway Baptist Church, Honoraville, in Butler Baptist Association, celebrated its centennial Sept. 14.
Church clerk James Brown said “a church full of people” were present to listen to Pastor Jerry Hogwood bring the message and receive a plaque from Alabama Baptist Historical Commission representative Don Donald on behalf of Midway Baptist.
The 11 a.m. service also featured a reading of the church history. Special guests included grandchildren of some of the charter members and several former pastors.
A fellowship meal followed the service and pictures of the church and members from the past 100 years were displayed throughout the fellowship hall.
