Q: What led you to serve your church’s Woman’s Missionary Union?

A: I thought I wanted to be a missionary and (then) I got married at 17 and had children right away so I didn’t have the opportunity. This was where I felt called.

Q: Why have you continued your ministry service through the years?

A: Well I feel like God has a purpose for everyone’s life, and I feel like mine is to serve in the choir and to help other people.

Q: What does the ministry demand?

A: Being obedient to Christ and serving others.

Q: What do you get from serving in ministry?

A: I have a peace and a comfort that whatever comes my way God will be with me. Seeing all of my children be Christians. … It’s just a joy to serve.

Q: How do family members support you?

A: They’ve always supported me. They are all there to help when I need it.

Q: How do you see yourself involved in ministry work in the future?

A: As long as I am physically able I plan on going to church and serving in any way I can. I like to encourage people.

Q: What difference will this ministry service make for you in the future?

A: Just the joy and satisfaction that I receive from trying to do God’s will.
