Hundreds respond during Brazil crusades

CUIABA, Brazil — International evangelist Sammy Tippit has concluded two weeks of evangelistic crusades and conferences on revival in central Brazil where hundreds of people responded to the messages he proclaimed.

In both cities where he preached, Cuiaba and Rio Branco, Tippit was greeted by local dignitaries, including the mayor of Cuiaba and the governor and president of the House of Representatives of the state of Acre. In both locations, Tippit was interviewed by local newspaper reporters and talk-show hosts from statewide television programs. During the interviews, he was able to share the gospel message as well as how to have a personal relationship with Christ.

“The presence of God seemed to be in the meetings,” Tippit said. “Christians responded in brokenness and prayer. And in both the women’s meetings where his wife, Tex, spoke, there were women who had never entered into a personal relationship with Christ and did so at the meeting.”
