God has continued to be at work among the Venezuelan people, and I would like to share some details of that work and some prayer requests with you.
The first of December we did a survey to determine the needs of the community called San Blas, a sector of Petare.
That day we met an English teacher from a local school. This opened the way for us to get into that school when a team from Southern Seminary came to work with us in January.
The seminary students spoke in every class, sharing about life in the United States and giving their testimonies. The next day we did a conference on drugs. Close to 100 parents attended this conference.
From Jan. 27-Feb. 7 we had a construction team from Bessemer Baptist Association, Bessemer. They worked on many projects the neighborhood association felt would meet some significant needs.
These men built relationships, helping Baptists become known in the community.
Please continue to pray with us for the following needs:
For the new work in San Blas. A Bible study has begun. Pray God will raise up leadership to develop and expand this work.
For wisdom on our part in knowing how God wants us to direct our time and energies.
For the Bible studies that continue in San Jose.
Fore the continuing disaster relief effort.
For a place to worship in the San Blas area.
For the Crawfords, who will be retiring from a lifetime of mission service in Venezuela.
