Jackson Way Church, Huntsville, has three new staff members. Karen Knight is the new preschool and children’s minister. She comes from Shiloh Church, Somerville, where she served as children’s minister. Knight is a graduate of Wallace State Community College in Hanceville and is currently pursuing a degree in children’s ministry from Southwestern Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas. She and her husband, Phil, have four children. Shannon O’Neal is the new associate pastor of education and outreach. He comes from Blountsville Church, where he served as pastor. He also served at Shades Mountain Church, Vestavia Hills. O’Neal is a graduate of Beeson Divinity School at Samford University in Birmingham. He is married to Neena. John David “J.D.” Thorne is the new minister to students. He comes from New City Church Downtown, Macon, Ga. He also served several churches in Alabama. Thorne holds a bachelor’s degree in religion from Samford University in Birmingham and master of divinity from New Orleans Seminary. He is married to Corrie. Paul Hunter is pastor.
