Love Will Have The Final Word
Centricity
Jason Gray’s new album “Love Will Have The Final Word,” produced by Jason Ingram and Cason Cooley, continues Gray’s highly introspective, questioning musings set to simple and emotionally moving acoustic musical vehicles. This is a worthy addition to his last album, “A Way to See in the Dark,” that was named Album of the Year by critics and produced three top-five singles. Gray co-wrote all the songs on this new project, receiving help from an all-star team including Ingram, Andy Gullahorn, Ben Glover, Josh Wilson and Nichole Nordeman.
Centricity’s press release includes this description of the new album — “This is an album that bravely avoids trite and simple platitudes thrown at our very real and complex circumstances. It’s an album that recognizes our loneliest of lows and our most hopeful highs. It’s an album that knows when to show empathy, when to give advice and when to just come alongside and grieve.”
This is a vulnerable and honest record, served up simply and beautifully.
