Q: When did you give your life to Christ?
A: I was 14 years old at a church service.
Q: Are you still able to read the Bible?
A: My youngest daughter printed the whole Bible in large print so I could see it, and I read it every day. At church, I copy down the sermon Scripture and come home and read it. My daughter reads the Sunday School lessons to me.
Q: How do you feel about Mineola?
A: I love the church and I love the people. My pastor says if you don’t want a neck hug don’t come to Mineola Baptist Church.
Q: What are you thankful for?
A: The Lord has taken care of me, and He is still taking care of me. I thank Him every day and all through the day as I’m walking around doing my housekeeping. (She still cooks for herself and washes her clothes.)
Q: How has Mineola helped you over the years?
A: Members of the church carry me to church every Sunday morning, Sunday night and Wednesday.
Q: To what do you attribute your good health?
A: The good Lord has done it. I milked my own cow until I was 85 years old and churned the milk and made butter. I’ve been through some tough times. I just thank the Lord. He has been so good to me. I love my Lord.
