Joe Bob Mizzell wrapped up his five-year-plus, post-retirement ministry position as pastor of Hopewell Church, Marion, on Feb. 11. Mizzell had been serving Hopewell Church as its interim pastor for nearly 10 years when he retired from the State Board of Missions in 2012 and officially became pastor. George Washburn, an ordained minister and worship leader for Hopewell Church, has been named interim pastor. Washburn also serves as director of library services for Judson College in Marion.
