Jones, Faye R.

Faye R. Jones, wife of Pastor George K. Jones of Fairview Baptist Church, Selma, in Selma Baptist Association, died July 4. She was 70.

A native of Selma, Jones served alongside her husband in his pastoral ministry at Elam Baptist Church, Tallassee, in Tuskegee Lee Baptist Association; Central Baptist Church (now Valley Grande Baptist Church), Selma, in Selma Baptist Association; Calera Baptist Church in Shelby Baptist Association; and Mountain View Baptist Church, Huntsville, in Madison Baptist Association. She also taught as a substitute teacher in Bessemer and Tallassee schools and served at local day cares.

Jones is survived by her husband, four children, eight grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and one sister.  (TAB)
