Q: When did you come to know the Lord?

A: I was 12 years old, and I joined the church on Easter Sunday at Highland Avenue Baptist Church in Montgomery.

Q: How did you become involved in ministry?

A: I was 18 years old [when I married] … so I’ve been a minister’s wife all my life.

Q: What are some of the most rewarding aspects of ministry?

A: It’s very joyful and I get a lot of happiness out of it. And I enjoy being with people.

Q: How do your family members support you?

A: They support me in many ways. My daughter Judy and my son-in-law take me to every [church service] — I don’t drive. My oldest daughter and my son always pray for me and visit me.

Q: What difference has Christ made in your life?

A: The Lord is my guide and my strength every day. He gives me happiness, peace and joy.
