Judson Baptist Church, Atmore, celebrated its 150th anniversary July 27. Former pastor Henry Wilson was the guest preacher with special music provided by Matt and Joanna Black and their daughter Tara. The church received a special presentation from Jim Lambert, a commissioner for the Alabama Baptist Historical Commission. Pastor Brett Chancery and deacons Chris Terry and Hilbert Hall accepted the plaque.
Following lunch a special service was held featuring Chancery sharing historical highlights and a presentation by Rick Barnhart, the association’s missionary. The celebration marked the beginning of a three-day revival with guest preacher Wilson and the Black family.
