Judson College equestrians participated in their final Intercollegiate Horse Show Association competition of the season Feb. 27–28 at Berry College in Mount Berry, Ga.
At the western show Feb. 27, Joy Hays placed second in open reining horsemanship and first in open western horsemanship.
Jordyn Blackwell placed second in advanced horsemanship. Andrea Luckie placed reserve in novice horsemanship. Heather Hodge placed third in intermediate horsemanship. Lindy Cowart placed third and Meagan Bennett placed fourth in beginner horsemanship.
At the western regional show Feb. 28, the Judson team was awarded the ribbon as the overall reserve high point team for the 2009–10 show season. Hays was awarded the ribbon and prize as the reserve high point rider for the 2009–10 show season and later placed reserve champion in open reining horsemanship and open western horsemanship. In intermediate western horsemanship, Hodge placed reserve champion and Samantha Marcella placed sixth. Sarah Dunn placed reserve champion in beginner western horsemanship.
