Members of the Judson College equestrian team participated in the Intercollegiate Spring Classic at Berry College in Mount Berry, Ga., Feb. 7–8. In the Feb. 7 Western show, Joy Coppock placed third in Class 16 Reining Horsemanship and Class 15 Open Western Horsemanship.
Jessica Elmore placed reserve in Class 12B-1 Intermediate II Western Horsemanship. Heather Hodge placed third.
Alyssa Hicks placed fifth in Class 12B-2 Intermediate II Western Horsemanship. Samantha Marcella took home first place in the same class. Sarah Dunn placed second in Class 11 Beginner Western Horsemanship. Candyce Gibbs took home the first place ribbon in that class.
In the next day’s show, Coppock placed second in Class 16 and fourth in Class 15. Elmore placed reserve and Hodge placed sixth in Class 12B-1. Hodge also placed sixth in Class 2A Beginner Walk/Trot/Canter in the hunt seat event. Hicks placed sixth and Marcella placed second in Class 12B-2.
Dunn placed third in Class 11.
