Nearly 50 Alabama Baptist ministers gathered May 10–11 for the 48th annual Judson College Ministers Golf Tournament at Marion Military Institute’s golf course.
“The greens were marvelous and the weather was beautiful,” said golf committee chair David Byrd, pastor of Northside Baptist Church, Jasper.
Byrd said the annual tournament is a time for ministers to relax and enjoy one another’s company, plus they get to learn more about what Judson offers.
Shannon Allen, pastor of Pine Grove Baptist Church, Brent, placed first. Byrd placed second and Ron Lynch, church ministries director for Madison Baptist Association, placed third.
Judson President David Potts awarded prizes at the concluding luncheon. “We’re happy to host this tournament, and we appreciate what these ministers do for our institution and for God’s Kingdom in Alabama,” Potts said.
