James Emory Keith, a retired Alabama Baptist music minister, died July 2. He was 90.
A native of Fairfax, Keith served as minister of music for First Baptist Church, Fairfax; Liberty Baptist Church, Opelika; Calvary Baptist Church, Lanett; First Baptist Church, Shawmut, in Valley; and First Baptist Church, Roanoke. He also served as music director for East Liberty Baptist Association.
Keith attended Moody Bible Institute in Chicago and joined the Gideons International in distributing thousands of Bibles.
He is survived by wife Mildred, one son and two grandchildren. Keith was preceded in death by his first wife, Delores. (TAB)
