Recorded in the spring of 2013 over the five days of The Gospel Coalition conference in Orlando, Fla., “Live at The Gospel Coalition” is an outstanding collection of 13 previously released songs by the Gettys, traditional hymns and one new song, “Lift High the Name of Jesus,” which was co-written by the Gettys and Ed Cash.
“Working with Keith and Kristyn has been one of the great joys of my career,” Cash said. “First and foremost, their songs are packed full of theological truth, but their commitment to musical excellence and great melodies with respect to church tradition is unparalleled. This album is a fabulous collection of songs recorded in a live atmosphere with a real congregation exalting the Almighty.”
Originally from Northern Ireland, the Gettys’ first project came in 2006. Shortly thereafter they moved to Ohio, and in 2010 they found their permanent home in Nashville. They have produced four albums and appeared at Franklin Graham crusades, the GMA Dove Awards and the Third Lausanne Congress on World Evangelization and have provided feature performances at London’s Royal Albert Hall and the legendary Grand Ole Opry.
If you’re a fan of high-quality traditional Christian music, you won’t find a better example than “Live at The Gospel Coalition.” Look for it when it releases Sept. 10.
