Kevin McCreless, longtime pastor of Broadway Baptist Church in Rainsville, died Oct. 16. He was 67.
A graduate of Corner High School, McCreless held a bachelor’s degree from Samford University, a master’s from Beeson Divinity School and a doctorate from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary in Boston, Massachusetts.
In February, Broadway Baptist honored McCreless and named him pastor emeritus as he retired from 33 years of ministry there. The church sanctuary also was named the McCreless Worship Center.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Terri; son, Luke; daughter, Katie; and four grandchildren.
