There are 11 songs found on Kirk Talley’s latest record offering –and from cut one to cut 11, there is not a weak song on the list. And if you’ll listen carefully to Kirk’s choice of songs, you may realize that “What’s missing here?” could very well be the mist ministry-minded recording of Kirk’s solo career.

The title cut clearly points out what’s in a life that’s devoid of God before “Bow the Knee” directing us to pay honor and respect to King Jesus. “I Will Stand for Jesus” encourages holding fast to the right, and “I’ve Been There” reminds us that Jesus has experienced what we face in everyday life. “I’ll Consider My Source” picks up the tempo before Kirk delivers the bluesy “He Will Deliver You” –and this has the hints of being a big song. Straight ahead southern gospel is found on “Right Now is the Right Time” and with the background vocals, you’d think Kirk has started a quartet.

Ever since launching his solo career, Kirk has been very blessed to have a steady stream of great songs like “Joy on the Other Side of Jordan,” Serenaded by Angels” and “Leave Me a Message.” “What’s Missing Here?” will add several songs to that list.
