Lakeside Baptist Church, Birmingham, celebrated 65 years Sept. 29. The church began with a small group meeting at the old Rocky Ridge Elementary School.
The church had 69 charter members, the last of whom died in 2021.
Joey Cannady recently retired as pastor of Solitude Baptist Church, Albertville, where he served 28 years.
The Way church was formerly Deerfoot Baptist Church in Trussville and had moved to Argo and changed its name in the spring of 2025.
Scotty Wallace is the new pastor of Joquin Baptist Church, Goshen.
Alberton Baptist Church, Kinston, will host Vacation Bible School June 22–27, Sunday 5–7:30 p.m. and Monday through Friday 6–8:30 p.m.
