KUMASI, Ghana — Frank Adams, general secretary of the All Africa Baptist Fellowship, died Dec. 27, 2006, in Kumasi, Ghana, after several months of chronic illness.
Adams, who also served as Baptist World Alliance (BWA) regional secretary for Africa, was previously general secretary for the Baptist Convention of Ghana.

In expressing condolences at the African leader’s passing, Lotz said, "Frank was a dear friend of our BWA staff and other regional secretaries. His strong and quiet determination to encourage Africans to evangelize and speak for social justice made him a prophetic voice among African Baptists."
Adams was a graduate of Baptist Theological Seminary in Rüschlikon, Switzerland, and received a doctorate from the Oxford Centre for Mission Studies in England.
Surviving him are his wife, Selina; two sons; and one daughter.
