The 6-year-old daughter of Christian parents was sexually assaulted by her tutor’s brother, whose kin subsequently threatened the girl’s family if charges are not dropped.
Christian Daily International-Morning Star News reported that the girl was assaulted Dec. 10 in the tutor’s home in Chak No 237-GB village in Jaranwala in Pakistan’s Punjab province. The suspect is a Muslim man in his 20s.

According to Christian Daily-Morning Star, the girl’s mother searched for her when the girl did not return from the tutor’s house. The mother found the girl — crying and covered with blood — near the tutor’s home, said the girl’s father, who is a member of a Salvation Army church.
Police took the girl to a hospital where an exam confirmed the abuse, the father said.
Life sentence or death penalty
The suspect was arrested and charged with raping a minor or mentally or physically disabled person. Conviction carries a life sentence or death penalty, stated Christians’ True Spirit.
CTS is providing legal aid and safe shelter for the girl’s family, who had to leave the village because of threats from the suspect’s kin, stated Christian Daily-Morning Star.
Pakistan remained No. 8 on the newly-released Open Doors’ 2026 World Watch List of the 50 places most difficult to be a Christian.
