1. Lifeway Christian Resources trustees unanimously elected Ryan Blackwell as the organization’s 11th president and CEO during a special-called meeting April 22 in Nashville.
2. While the case could eventually end up before the U.S. Supreme Court, for now a federal appeals court has ruled 9–8 that Texas can require public schools to display the Ten Commandments.
3. Trustees of Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary voted unanimously Tuesday (April 21) to install Scott Pace as the entity’s seventh president. He will officially succeed Daniel Akin on July 31.
