LifeWay Christian Stores will celebrate the grand opening of its newest store in Dothan in late April. The store will be LifeWay’s 87th nationwide and the chain’s fifth in the state, joining locations in Birmingham, Huntsville, Mobile and Montgomery.
The 6,000-sq.-ft. store will open April 18 and celebrate April 29 with special promotions at 3500 Ross Clark Circle. Popular VeggieTale characters Larry the Cucumber and Bob the Tomato will make an appearance from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. April 29. Using the same flight plan, children’s cartoon character Jay Jay the Jet Plane will land at the LifeWay store the following Saturday, May 6, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Rominger comes to Dothan from Mobile’s LifeWay Christian Store. He is a graduate of Mississippi State University, the University of Southern Mississippi and New Orleans Seminary. He also served as a chaplain in the military.
