Lucas, William “Billy” C.

William “Billy” C. Lucas, interim pastor of Philadelphia Baptist Church, Tunnel Springs, in Bethlehem Baptist Association, died Aug. 28. He was 72.

Lucas grew up in Mount Olive Baptist Church, Monroeville, in Bethlehem Association, then spent 54 years serving in pastorate positions in Alabama, Ohio, Georgia, Florida and Illinois. He also served on numerous associational missions trips through Bethlehem Association.

Lucas is survived by his wife, Alice; four sons; one daughter and 15 grandchildren. (TAB)
