Macedonia Baptist in Jasper celebrates centennial anniversary

Macedonia Baptist Church, Jasper, celebrated its 100th anniversary Aug. 27.

The service began with special music by Kingdom Work quartet followed by long-time church member Talma Jenkins sharing highlights of the church’s history. David Nelson with the Alabama Baptist Historical Commission, presented Johnny Young, pastor, with a plaque.

Former member J.W. Frye also spoke about the church’s past. David Miller, director of missions for Walker County Baptist Association, was the guest preacher.
