Malone: Japan

God has blessed us so much in allowing us to serve Him among the Japanese people since 1992. Since arriving, we have rejoiced in the many opportunities God has provided for us to contribute to His work.

We’ve had opportunities to train and disciple Christians through Tokyo Baptist Theological Seminary, the Christian Leadership Training Center (CLTC) and the Christian Academy in Japan and opportunities to share the gospel with those who have not heard of our Lord. Now the Lord is turning our faces again.

Kelly has accepted the invitation to teach intercultural studies at Southwest Baptist University (SBU) in Bolivar, Mo. In this new role, he will have the opportunity to teach university students preparing for service in missions and other cross-cultural ministries. As a result, we have resigned from service with the International Mission Board. Kelly will begin teaching at SBU this fall.

We will need your prayers and support as we move to this new place of service. As you pray, continue to pray for Japan. Although the Lord is moving us, the work here remains unfinished. Pray for the lost. Pray for Japanese Christians to grow to become strong, obedient followers of Jesus Christ. And continue to pray for the work at CLTC and the Christian Academy in Japan. The Lord is in control, and the work of both of these entities will continue without us.
