Maranatha Baptist Church, Rainsville, on mission

Maranatha Baptist Church, Rainsville, in DeKalb Baptist Association sent a group of 18 to Nashville in July to help victims of the May floods.

The missions team, led by Pastor Keith Atchley, worked on two homes, installing Sheetrock, painting, replacing roofing and cleaning yards.

“I’m really proud of my team,” Atchley said. “We didn’t get the second home completely finished but we almost did. It was humbling to see what had happened and the devastation they saw and lived in and to walk away knowing we had contributed to getting their lives back to normal.”
