Marion Baptist Association churches on mission

Eight Marion Baptist Association churches participated in a missions trip to Pippa Passes, Ky., in July. Led by Director of Missions Mark Gallups, 98 people from the association worked with Caney Baptist Church and Alice Lloyd College, both in Pippa Passes, to host backyard Bible clubs, a youth drama revival and basketball and cheerleader camps. The group also did construction work, hanging and mudding 300 pieces of Sheetrock during the weeklong trip.

“We go to be a blessing to the church and community — a blessing and not a burden,” Gallups said. “We take our own cooks and stay in a hotel.”
