Marion Baptist Association on mission

Marion Baptist Association has organized a summer missions trip for the past 22 years. This year the association took 70 people to Pleasant Green Baptist Church, Hopkinsville, Ky., July 11–15.

Organized by Director of Missions Mark Gallups, the trip involved construction, a nursing home ministry, backyard Bible clubs, a basketball camp and student-led drama and worship.

The construction team hung Sheetrock in the church’s new building. The nursing home team went to five locations and sang, performed puppet shows and visited with residents. Both the basketball camp and backyard Bible clubs were held during the day for the local children.

Four people made decisions for Christ that week.
