Marion’s Siloam Baptist holds unique LMCO fundraiser

Members of Siloam Baptist Church, Marion, offered their beards and moustaches as a way to raise money for the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering (LMCO). The Cahaba Baptist Association church held the second annual Beard Auction on Nov. 30 as a ‘fun way to raise money for LMCO and to kick off the Week of Prayer for International Missions,’ Pastor John Nicholson said. One man, who had not shaved his moustache in 31 years ‘auctioned’ it off for $2,000. More than $3,000 was raised this year to give to LMCO.
