McElwain Baptist Church, Birmingham, in Birmingham Baptist Association dedicated the Fred C. and Ruth K. Watkins Bell Tower April 2. The 85-foot tower is part of a $5.5 million legacy left by the Watkinses, who were members of McElwain Baptist. Mike Miller is pastor.
