The Baptist Medical Dental and Baptist Nursing Fellowships will gather March 17-19 for their national meeting in San Antonio, Texas.
The meeting, which will be held at First Baptist Church of San Antonio, will involve health care professionals and lay persons with an interest in health care missions and ministry.
The conference theme – “Con Estas Manos: Tocando el Mundo en el Nombre de Jesus” (“With These Hands: Touching the World in the Name of Jesus”) – will highlight connections with Hispanic culture.
The program chairman for the meeting is Wayne Grant, medical director of the Rio Grande River Ministry of the Baptist General Convention of Texas.
General sessions will emphasize worship, opportunities for involvement in health care missions, and Bible study specifically related to health professions.
Workshops will provide specific, practical information about topics such as “Starting a church-based medical/dental clinic” or “How do I get involved in an international health care missions project?”
