“Meditations of the Heart” is a collection of short writings from a pastor in Mississippi who described the book as “the culmination of God’s dealing with my own heart, directly and indirectly, over my lifetime.” The 32 chapters deal with a variety of subjects, with the theme of growing and developing a relationship with God running through them.
The book’s writing style would have been familiar to readers a half-century ago. Once past that hurdle, the reader finds consistently sound biblical advice written from a conservative standpoint.
