We have felt complete freedom here in recent weeks. As we walked through the city recently, praying and talking to people we met, we felt led to share with the many who were standing around in this specific part of the street. We were able to share the simple fact that Jesus Christ loves them and that we came there to tell them so.
Pray for us as we have a pastor and a members of a church from the United States arrive soon. They will partner with us over the next few years, even if it’s by simply being avid prayer supporters.

These have come so that your faith may be proved genuine and may result in praise, glory and honor when Jesus Christ is revealed (1 Pet. 1:7). For the past two months, I have felt as if there was one trial after another- physical health, safety, moving of houses and buildings, longing to be with family, etc. Through it all, my prayer is that Jesus Christ would be revealed and my faith would be strong. Every day I walk on the streets with people who are bound by tribal religions and ancestor worship, and I pray that they would see me as a real person with daily struggles and hardships. Through the trials, I pray they see a faith in Jesus- a faith that believes He alone is the hope and reason we pray that faith would be unwavering and that Jesus would shine through in all I do and say.

Good things began to take place after teams from First Baptist Church, Cullman, and from York Association in South Carolina came in May and in August, respectively. These two teams prayer-walked the areas near our house and near the church. This week in a small group we heard the testimony of a new convert.
She said, “A piece of evangelistic material given to my co-worker was lying around and I picked it up. God used that material to start turning my heart toward Him.” Don’t ever be discouraged when you are faithful to pass out tracts and DVDs. You might not see what God is doing but He uses and blesses your faithfulness.
God is on the move. Please continue to pray for us in the coming days that we might have wisdom to see where God is at work and join Him in it.
