Mitch Grissett is the new pastor of Canaan Baptist Church, Bessemer.
He previously served as pastor of First Baptist Church, Baldwyn, Mississippi, and Liberty Baptist Church, Duncanville. He also served as youth minister of Arbor Springs Baptist Church, Samantha, and Holt Baptist Church and as a teacher and football coach at several schools.
He has a bachelor’s degree in secondary education social science from the University of Alabama and a master of divinity and a master of arts in ministry from Luther Rice Seminary in Lithonia, Georgia.
He and his wife, Jessica, have two children.
