In an effort to help Christians better deal with the complex nature of forgiveness, adversity and love, Terry Cutrer, pastor of Moffett Road Baptist Church, Mobile, published a book — “Help Me Understand.”
“I saw a lot of people facing difficult issues in life, and they, for whatever reason, did not quite resolve them and as a result, dropped out of church and got further away from the Lord,” Cutrer said. “I just was not reading anything that specifically applied to what I saw going on. So I said, ‘Maybe I can put something in print.’”
So he created 12 chapters chock-full of Scripture and principles for combating daily difficulties that arise, such as dealing with supervisors, handling children, developing healthy marriages and forgiving someone. Cutrer said he hopes his 94-page book helps people “get a better grasp of biblical principles and how to apply them to where they are.”
