The Mobile Baptist Association has seen a renewed involvement in volunteer training in the area of disaster relief.
The association dedicated its first cleanup and recovery/mudout training for Mobile Association. Twenty-five men and women were involved in training and the dedication that followed at Government Street Baptist Church, Mobile.
May 13 and 14, the Mobile Association trained 21 people in the proper use of a chainsaw and the felling of trees under various circumstances with help from the Baldwin Association chainsaw team.
Since January, Mobile Association has trained 75 volunteers in courses on involving Southern Baptists in disaster relief, administration and communications.
