Retired Alabama Baptist pastor Roy E. Morgan died April 13. He was 83 and a member of Hueytown Baptist Church.
A graduate of Samford University in Birmingham and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas, Morgan served as a pastor for 54 years. His ministry took him across Alabama, serving in Shiloh Baptist Church, Somerville; Eastmont Baptist Church, Eastlake; Cottage Hill Baptist Church, Pleasant Grove; Glenn Memorial Baptist Church, Bessemer; Fairview Baptist Church; and Ensley Baptist Church.
Morgan is survived by his wife, Jean; two sons; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. (TAB)
